B Vintners | Red Blend | 2021
The B Vintners Red Blend is a combination of wine that makes it unique to South Africa and comprises of 37% Grenache, 36% Syrah, and 27% Pinotage. Deliciously approachable, made from younger planted Grenache and Pinotage, with some higher lying Syrah. Drinking well now, it can also be laid down in cellar for drinking through 2027.
Nose & Palate
On the nose, the Grenache gives florals and freshness, while the Syrah adds its characteristic spice and structure. The Pinotage gives a depth of fruit to the wine.
Pairing
The umami notes of a wild mushroom risotto or pan roasted duck breast will come to life when paired with this wine’s structure and depth of fruit and spiciness
About the Winery
Bruwer Vintners (B Vintners) is a collaboration between cousins Gavin Bruwer and Bruwer Raats (of Raats Family Wines).
Self-described as a ‘vine exploration company’, B Vintners’ aim is to tell the story of the history of the South African wine industry, as they look at sourcing grapes from some of the most interesting vineyards in the Cape Winelands. With a prime focus on vineyard sites in Stellenbosch, B Vintners brings to life some of the most classic South African heritage grape varietals in a new and exciting way.
